Aloha Monica!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by as you prepare for your summer vacation at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The tropical vibes and Moana-inspired room decor make for an enchanting escape. It's one of my family's favorite places to call home in Walt Disney World. Let's discuss where your room will be located in this island paradise.
From a room with a water view, you can see one of two swimming pools, the resort marina, or Seven Seas Lagoon. Fiji and Samoa are both centrally located within the resort and feature lovely water views. Fiji, likely the quieter of the two locations, sits along the marina, so you'll see watercraft up close and resort buildings in the distance. Samoa is situated between the lava and oasis pools, making it a little more convenient for swimming, dining, and filling a resort refillable mug. You can't go wrong with either building, but my family of swimmers would prefer Samoa for its proximity to the
pools. If you plan to walk to the
EPCOT monorail, Samoa will also put you slightly closer to the Transportation and Ticket Center walkway. Higher floors in either building will provide more expansive views, so if this is a priority, request a second or third-floor room.
Remember that adding a room location request via online check-in, Cast Member chat, or over the
phone does not guarantee your request will be met. If your request is important to you, when completing
online check-in, make sure NOT to check the box to prioritize having your room ready over requests.
I hope this is helpful, Monica. You're going to have the best time at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. From the beautifully appointed rooms to the convenient monorail transportation to the incredible dining, you'll be immersed in South Seas-inspired Disney magic at every turn. Enjoy a frozen treat from
Pineapple Lanai for me, and have a memorable stay!
Mahalo,
Betsy
