Hi, we bought Walt Disney World exchange certificates, due to the pandemic we were unable to go, can my certificates still good if we go in June 2024?

Hello Victor, and welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for sending your question to us. We're always happy to help with all aspects of vacation planning. Let's discuss your exchange certificates so you can take your long-awaited Walt Disney World adventure this summer!

You'll be glad to learn that your exchange certificates can still be redeemed for current theme park admission. Last year, while cleaning out my grandparents' Florida home, my family found some Florida Resident exchange certificates my grandparents had purchased at Publix back in 2008. We brought them to Guest Relations at Walt Disney World, and a friendly Cast Member helped us convert them to tickets that my Florida Resident parents could use that same day.

Victor, to use exchange certificates, you must validate them in person before entering a theme park. When you arrive at Walt Disney World, stop by a theme park ticketing window, Guest Relations, or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs to activate your tickets. Bring your ID and accompanying documents if they are Florida Resident or military exchange certificates. Depending on the nature of your exchange certificates, you may need to pay to upgrade them to current pricing, and you will also need to make theme park reservations for the duration of your trip. The helpful Cast Members at Guest Relations can assist you with this.

If you can, I recommend linking your exchange certificates to your My Disney Experience account before your trip. You will still need to stop by a ticketing window or Guest Relations to activate them, but by linking them in advance, you can make theme park reservations and lock in your park days now.

I hope this is helpful, Victor, and that everything goes smoothly with your exchange certificates. To sum things up, they will still be valid, but you may need to pay the difference between their purchase price and current costs. You should try to link them and make theme park reservations before you leave for your trip, then activate them in person once you arrive. If you have trouble linking them from home, Hakuna Matata! You can still take care of that when you get to Orlando. Thanks again for visiting us at planDisney, and we can't wait to welcome you to the Most Magical Place on Earth very soon.

Wishing you a great, big, beautiful tomorrow,
    Betsy
