We are staying off property. On our Animal Kingdom day, we would like to go to the boardwalk to enjoy dinner/nightlife. Would we be able to park at the boardwalk? Do we need to show proof of dinner reservations? Are there time restrictions?

Hey there, Lisa. I'm happy to welcome you to planDisney with this fantastic question.

I completely understand your excitement about visiting Disney's BoardWalk. The ambiance is truly magical, especially at nighttime when the twinkling lights and lively atmosphere bring it to life, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening. It really captures the timeless charm of a classic coastal retreat. Not to mention, the dining options are absolutely fantastic, offering something for every palate. Personally, I cannot wait to try the new Cake Bake Shop; I've heard amazing things about its delightful treats and enchanting decor. It's the perfect spot to indulge and soak up the BoardWalk's unique charm.

According to the Walt Disney World Website, standard self-parking is complimentary for day Guests while they enjoy select shopping, dining, and recreation experiences at the BoardWalk. However, please be aware that services and fees are subject to change without notice. From my personal experience, I have always been asked to provide my name upon arrival, and you may also need to share your reservation number. Keep in mind that during particularly busy times, parking may be restricted to Guests with a confirmed hotel or dining reservation.

I hope you have an amazing time visiting Disney's BoardWalk! A few years ago, my husband and kids rented a Surrey bike, and they had an absolute blast cruising around the resort. There's always something happening at the BoardWalk which makes it such an exciting and enjoyable place to explore!
