Hey there, Paul! Thanks for stopping by for a cuppa joe with me at planDisney. You arrive at
Walt Disney World Resort in a few sleeps, and it sounds like a stay at one of
Disney's Port Orleans Resorts is in your future. Port Orleans—Riverside was the resort my husband and I booked for our very first visit years ago. Both resorts have undergone many updates since then, so let's talk about your coffee options.
Most standard rooms at this resort have a single-serve drip-style coffee maker. Some pots allow you to make two cups at a time, and pre-packaged Joffrey's Coffee™ is provided in filter pods. The roast is typically medium, but I chatted with a bayou-loving Cast Member who told me guests can request dark roast coffee from
Housekeeping or at the Front Desk. I've learned something new, Paul! I prefer dark roast myself.
I've heard excellent reviews of the New Orleans Chicory Coffee at
Boatwright's Dining Hall at Disney's Port Orleans—Riverside, but that's typically only offered at dinner. The French Press serves two and lets the good times roll! You could also head to
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney's Port Orleans—French Quarter for a Classic Cold Brew Coffee. That might be perfect on a warm Florida morning.
I typically wait until I'm at a theme park to enjoy an iced coffee with almond milk from Starbucks.
Starbucks® and
Joffrey's Coffee have locations at all four theme parks and Disney Springs. The advantage to waiting is that you can also sample some tasty treats!
Paul, I hope your upcoming visit keeps you wide-eyed and adventurous. Please stop by
planDisney anytime. I'll have the pot brewing!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
