Hi, Nancy here! We want to visit in November 2024 & have heard mix feedback on not going because it rains (pouring) & going cause it’s a light rain. Would you be able to share what the usual weather is in November? We’re visiting from California.

Hey Howdy Hey Nancy and welcome to planDisney!

There are so many factors to consider when planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. Of the top few concerns, weather is typically one of them. While Disney does its best to put on a Magical show, no matter the weather conditions, experiencing the parks in the rain may not be ideal for many. Let's go over some recommendations I have for you and some places you can investigate further so you know for certain when you want to plan for your vacation.

If you do an internet search for "central Florida rainfall by month", this can be a great starting point for checking rainfall totals from historical data. There are many sites you can look into, USClimateDatata.com is a site I have used in the past and is fairly reliable. These sites can give you historical data about when central Florida will get the most rain by month.

Based on the information above and my experience, the summer is the rainy season in central Florida. October and May are transition periods for the area to get out and into the rainy season respectively. Based on the sites, November is usually one of the drier months with winter being the dry season in Florida. While that is the case, know it still does rain in central Florida, just may not be as frequently or as much as during the summer months.

No matter what time of the year you visit, I always recommend checking the daily forecasts and taking your rain gear to the parks. There is a running joke that the 3 o'clock shower is a guarantee in Disney, which involves a quick 10-15-minute downpour to get the rest of the afternoon going. This is mostly true during the summer but can happen in the fall and spring as well. Ponchos and rain jackets can be easy to throw in a bag while you make your way around the parks and can be huge lifesavers in many instances.

I hope you now have some insights and places to check into yourself so you can better understand the rain chances in central Florida during November. If you have any other questions, please let us know, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
