I am staying at the Grand Californian in March 2025. I keep seeing conflicting answers to this question: if I buy merchandise in the parks, can I get it sent to my hotel room?

Happiest Greetings on Earth, Kristi! From one Washingtonian to another, please allow me to be the first to welcome you to planDisney! We love helping our fellow Guests plan their most magical adventures to Disneyland Resort, so thank you for visiting us today.

I am so glad to hear about your visit to Disneyland Resort and your upcoming stay at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It is truly an escape like no other, and my family has so many wonderful memories of staying at this very special Disneyland Resort hotel property. You're going to love it!

Earlier this month I tested out your very question because I wanted to investigate the best way to navigate a large merchandise purchase while I was in the theme parks. When I spoke with the Cast Member, they indicated that merchandise delivery to Disneyland Resort hotels was not currently available, but I could take advantage of package holding. Guests are able to check packages at select merchandise locations around Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and the Disneyland Esplanade (between the two theme parks). This is a wonderful option if you have purchased some items but don't wish to carry them around all day while you enjoy the theme park offerings. In this case, I simply let the Cast Member know that I'd like to have my packages held and filled out a form with my contact and purchase information. I got a copy of this form and my receipt that I brought back to the merchandise location when I was ready to pick up my packages and head back to my hotel room for the evening. It was a very smooth process and I'll definitely be using this service again in the future!

I hope this is a helpful clarification, Kristi! More than anything, I wish you a wonderful stay at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and a magical visit to Disneyland Resort. If you are considering making any dining reservations before your trip, I'd recommend searching for them up to 60 days in advance since they can be quite popular. You can't go wrong with any of the restaurants at your hotel property, but I love GCH Craftsman Bar for casual alfresco dining and Napa Rose for celebrating any special occasion! Plus, being a Guest at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa grants you direct access to Disney California Adventure Park, plus a whole host of extra benefits just for hotel Guests! If we can assist with anything else in the meantime, please come back and see us again here at planDisney, soon.

    Magically yours,
    Tishra
