Hi Heather,
I'm super excited to hear that you'll be able to join your husband at "The Most Magical Place on Earth" while he's there for a conference. While I grew up driving from the beach to Magic Kingdom Park for a day during my family's spring break vacations, it wasn't until about ten years ago when my husband attended a conference on property and the kids and I came along too that I completely fell in love with the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I really think that you're ALL going to LOVE it!
Plus, staying at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will have you and your girls feeling like true princesses! The Resort hotel is BEAUTIFUL inside and out, and yes, I believe you'll really enjoy your time there. Not only are there several fun
swimming pools, but your girls will adore the "Alice in Wonderland"-themed water play area! I'd encourage you to ask for a Resort Experience Guide when you arrive, which will list all of the entertaining special events the Cast Members have planned during your stay. Of course, taking a relaxing
boat ride or even just watching the boats at the marina would be fun, and you're only a short
monorail ride away from
Disney's Contemporary Resort and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, which would be great to explore, too. If you'd like something
really special to do, I think your girls would LOVE the
Disney's Perfectly Princess Tea. I assure you, you won't have any trouble finding magical things to do at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa!
Thanks so much for coming to see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heather, and please feel free to bring us any other questions you may have as you're planning your trip. I hope that you and your family have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
