About Me

As a homeschool mom of five, most of my days are spent teaching my own children, but I also teach music part-time, volunteer in my church and community, and run my own small business.  Some things I love are family dance parties, board games, dates with my husband, chocolate, hiking, tulips, Mickey waffles, family snuggles on lazy Saturday mornings, and of course, Walt Disney World Resort vacations!

I also love creating spreadsheets and planning, and I truly feel like planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is half the fun!  I love making trip books for each of our vacations, complete with daily itineraries, travel tips, photos of places we'll see, and a place to record our favorite memories of the day.  My kids ask all the time for me to read them a trip book, and we all love reliving our amazing experiences!

About My Family

My Prince Charming and I were college sweethearts and have been married 19 years.  We have two princes and three princesses ages 7-14 through birth and international adoption.  Raising a large family can certainly be hectic, but our Disney Vacation Club membership ensures we have a second home to escape to where our family can simply enjoy being together, celebrating favorite life-long traditions and creating new memories.  One of my favorite things about our Walt Disney World Resort vacations is that our entire family, even with our different age ranges, interests, and thrill-seeking levels, can enjoy so many attractions and experiences together.  Even our child who is on the autism spectrum is a huge fan of Walt Disney World, and finds much to enjoy there.

About My Disney Experience

I began visiting Walt Disney World as a child.  Each year at spring break, my family would stay at the beach and drive over to Walt Disney World for a day for some adventure and fun.  After my husband and I were married, we followed the same traditions with our own children, staying at the beach and driving over to Walt Disney World for a day or two during each annual stay.

In 2009, however, the place at the beach where we always stayed was undergoing some renovations and was closed during our normal vacation time.  I did some research and discovered an accounting conference at Walt Disney World, so I approached my husband (who is a CPA) about combining our vacation with a work trip.  He could complete his continuing education credits for his CPA license and our family could stay at the Walt Disney World Resort for our entire vacation.  In all my years visiting Walt Disney World, this was my first time to stay at a Disney resort, or even visit a table service restaurant!  We had the most amazing week, and I said to my husband, "You know I'm going to want to do this again!" Staying right in the middle of the magic and experiencing everything the entire resort has to offer was amazing!  We became Disney Vacation Club members in 2012 and have enjoyed regular visits to the Walt Disney World Resort ever since!
