Hi Pauline and welcome back to planDisney! As a father of two girls who absolutely love the Disney Skyliner, I can relate to you and your son’s obsession with Disney transportation. Now let’s talk through utilizing the various modes of transportation at
Walt Disney World. All aboard!
For the use of
boat transportation at Disney Springs, you’ll have either a hotel reservation at the Resort, a dining reservation or an experience reservation. If you’re not staying at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, or Disney’s Port Orleans Resort (Riverside or French Quarter), don’t worry as Disney still has other boats traversing the various waterways! Around the EPCOT Resort area, you’ll find the FriendShip Boats that go to EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Resort hotels in between. Over at Magic Kingdom, you can take water taxis around Seven Seas Lagoon or to Bay Lake for those Resort hotels. When it comes to the parking lot trams, you and your family are also welcome to ride those even if you do not have a car parked at the various theme park parking lots.
Speaking of boats, did you know that Walt Disney World also offers
fireworks cruises and
guided fishing excursions? If your son is into fishing, this may be a unique experience that he’ll cherish for years to come. Don’t worry about experience level or equipment, as the Cast Members have you covered. These excursions come with an experience guide, a fishing rod, and bait to get your son to reel in that haul! Top that off with a private viewing of
Happily Ever After fireworks on Seven Seas Lagoon and you’ve got some core memories that will certainly make this trip unique!
Pauline I hope you and your son have the best trip at Walt Disney World! If you have any further questions, feel free to
contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
