Hi Allyson and welcome to planDisney! Lightning Lane Passes are certainly the way to go when you’re racing through multiple parks at
Walt Disney World the way Lightning McQueen speeds down a track. So, rev up your engine, top up your fluids (hydration is key!), and let’s sprint over to your question. Ka-Chow!
You’ll be happy to know that you can book a
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and a
Lightning Lane Single Pass at a different theme park for the same day! In fact, I did this same exact thing you asked in your question as part of a four parks in one day challenge with my good friends
Corey and
Olivier. We selected our initial Lightning Lane Passes for Animal Kingdom at
Expedition Everest,
Na’Vi River Journey, and
Kilimanjaro Safaris and also booked a Lightning Lane Single Pass for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
In order to book both experiences, you'll have to book them one at a time. As a reminder, if you're staying at Disney Resort hotel, you can book your Lightning Lane Passes
as early as 7 days in advance of your stay. Otherwise, you can purchase passes 3 days in advance of your park visit. What I recommend doing is looking on the
My Disney Experience app to see what return times are available for both options as your park day approaches so you can decide which to book first.
Allyson, here’s a bonus tip! With a park hopper ticket and a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can select new Lightning Lane Passes for the other parks you plan to visit that day as you redeem your first set (subject to availability). This is what my friends and I did, snagging Lightning Lane Passes for rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Magic Kingdom!
Allyson, hopefully this answers your question. I wish you the best of luck in getting the attractions and return times that works for your upcoming trip. If you have any further questions, feel free to
contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
