Hi Kevin and welcome to planDisney! Checking out of a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel can sometimes make me feeling like Sadness from
Inside Out. But as we know, all good things must come to an end. So let’s talk about how we can store our luggage and extend our trips a little further upon checkout!
You’ll be happy to know that you can leave your bags with
Bell Services at your Resort hotel upon checkout and pick them back up before you head back to the airport. In fact, we do this almost every trip! Don’t forget to tip Bell Services if you’re happy with the service they provide. We sometimes like heading back to the parks for one last attraction or two or to pickup any last-minute souvenirs. Don’t forget that the benefits of a Disney Resort hotel such as
Early Theme Park Entry also work on your checkout day!
But as you suggest, you can also go visit
Disney Springs to grab a meal, do some shopping, and use bus transportation to head back to your Resort hotel. Personally, I’m a big fan of
Polite Pig (you honestly can’t go wrong with any of the Market Sides!). I also like grabbing some snacks for the plane ride back at
Goofy’s Candy Company.
