Staying at Coronado Springs for our upcoming trip. We have a dining reservation at Kona Cafe at 7:40am. Early park access is at 8:30am for Magic Kingdom. If we drive to the TTC can we take the monorail to Polynesian and then go straight to the park?

    Hiya Jason!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for sending your planning question our way. Your magical summer vacation will be here before you know it! You're visiting at a perfect time to take advantage of the Free Admission to a Disney Water Park perk being offered to all guests at a Disney Resort this year. And with BOTH water parks open this summer to choose from...well let's just say that dilemma is nice problem for guests to have!

But enough talk about water parks... let's talk about TONGA TOAST! Wait, what?

I meant your dining plans at Kona Cafe! What a practically perfect plan to start your day dining at the monorail-handy Polynesian Resort for breakfast, then gliding right over to Magic Kingdom for Early Access. Driving your own vehicle to TTC is an excellent idea. The monorail transportation times state they begin running 30 minutes prior to park opening... which may not be early enough for you to ride from TTC to your breakfast reservation. However, you can walk! It's actually a short, 5-minute or so walk from TTC to the Great Ceremonial House at the Polynesian.

I would recommend arriving just a touch early to your 7:40 am dining reservation at Kona Cafe, if possible. You've got a tight window, but I think it's doable. And after feasting on your delicious Tonga Toast, riding the monorail that short distance over to Magic Kingdom will be very slick and your quickest option. (I'm sorry, I just can't stop thinking about that amazing breakfast you've got in store...!)

One cool tip that may be useful during your trip, is that you can see the bus times by using the My Disney Experience app. From your home screen, select the "≡" menu icon in the lower right corner, and look for your Resort Reservation (it may be in the Future Plans tile). After you've checked in you'll find "See Bus Times", which tells you the next pick up time at your resort for buses to each of the parks, including their estimate arrival time at that park. It can be super helpful!

Sending pixie dust for you to have the Best. Trip. Ever! Please visit me again at planDisney if you have any additional questions I can assist with.

    The magic is calling!
