Hi Victoria!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm glad you found our little corner of the world where we love helping guests plan Walt Disney World Resort vacations that are practically perfect in every way!
Victoria, as a mom of three, I've pushed plenty of strollers around the parks and also prioritize transportation convenience when I can for my own vacations. If your top priorities are EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park, you can't go wrong with the
monorail resorts. These include
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and
Disney's Contemporary Resort. If you'd like to request adjoining (nearby) or connecting (inside door) rooms, they are available at each of these resorts. It's important to note that room requests can't be guaranteed, but Disney will do their best to accommodate! I recommend
calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to note your request.
We've stayed at Disney's Contemporary Resort with young children and I love that the entrance to Magic Kingdom is just a quick walk from our room. When it's time to head to EPCOT, we can easily access the monorail from the Contemporary and take it to the Transportation and Ticket Center (the next stop!) to transfer to the EPCOT monorail. If you're traveling with a stroller, you'll be happy to know that you don't have to fold the stroller in order to board the monorail. Young kids, as well as kids at heart, will also enjoy character dining at
Chef Mickey's - also located in the Contemporary. The buffet dining offers something for everyone and what can be better than dining with Mickey and friends?
Depending on the time of the year you visit, you may find only one of the
water parks open and available to guests. Regardless of which of the two water parks are open, there is plenty to keep young ones happy. Each water park has a dedicated children’s area and, depending on the height and comfort level of any little ones traveling with you, you’ll find a variety of family slides and rides to enjoy as well! Getting to the water parks is a bit trickier than the theme parks so I recommend familiarizing yourself with
bus transportation information once you know which park you’ll be visiting. Another great option may be to book a
Minnie Van through the Lyft app. While you would pay for this car service, you’d be able to get direct transportation from your resort to the water park and car seats are available.
Victoria, I hope this information helps as you continue planning your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any other vacation planning questions, please stop by to
see me or any of my panelist pals again - we’re all ears!
See ya real soon!
