Tiffany,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
No Walt Disney World vacation is complete for my family without a pool day! Not only does it give us a mid-week break from all the running around a theme park that seems to fill most of our days, but it also gives us a chance to explore our home in the magic!
The great news is that all the Disney Resort hotel
pools, including yours at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, have available life jackets for use. I can tell you that Disney values guest security above all else, but you will never see it more in action than when you are at your resort's main pool and you watch the meticulous and dedicated way that the lifeguards protect their guests. My wife was impressed by how they were constantly communicating with each other, with guests, and surveying every inch of the pool to ensure that everyone was having a safe and secure time.
BONUS TIP #1The
Disney Resort Hotels heat their resort pools year-round to around 82 degrees (about 28 degrees Celsius). While they certainly do not reach hot tub temperatures, the added warmth usually is enough to take the chill out of the water, even on a cold day. We have only had one day ever at Walt Disney World where it was too cold for us to swim. And that was just one day out of an entire week.
BONUS TIP #2
An often-overlooked perk of staying at the Caribbean Beach resort is the immediate access to both the
Disney Skyliner and some premium coffee! If you really need a good morning cup of java, there is a Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company kiosk that is a free-standing booth located by the Caribbean Beach Disney Skyliner station. You can enjoy a drink on your travels and arrive charged and ready to go!
BONUS TIP #3
If you are looking to enjoy a nice, relaxed drink back at your hotel, head over to
Banana Cabana, which is the pool bar at the main pool. It is one of the better pool bars at Walt Disney World, with great, covered outdoor seating. The appetizer menu is quite extensive, with the Conch Fritters being a personal favorite.
