Hello YuWen, and welcome back to planDisney! We love helping guests with all the magical details of their Disney vacation, so thanks for sending us your question.
I like your style with this split stay strategy. You're going to enjoy bumping up to a larger space for the latter portion of your trip! It sounds like you are familiar with Disney Resort's
Mail Services, and the option to receive a grocery delivery at Bell Services. When groceries are initially received, they are able to keep refrigerated items cool for you until you've checked in and can receive them. So if your grocery order is delivered on your transfer day, they will be able to store those for you until your 1 Bedroom Villa is ready.
However, when you transfer rooms in the middle of your stay
Bell Services is only able to transfer your luggage and any unopened grocery items. They cannot offer to refrigerate any grocery items during the split stay transfer process. So everything they store or move from your first two days at the resort would need to be non-perishable, and packed into a bag or suitcase.
My fellow panelist Keri has some excellent suggestions on how to
manage a grocery order during a split stay. She recommends sticking to smaller packages of any perishable items for the first part of your stay. You could place two different grocery orders, for each leg of your stay? Or as I mentioned, perhaps it would work to just hold off and have groceries delivered on your check-in date for the 1 Bedroom Villa.
I hope this helps, YuWen. Have an amazing runDisney marathon weekend, and please let us know at planDisney if we can assist with any other questions.
Reach for the sky!
