for stay contemporary or Polynesian hotel, is parking cost included? Also, where would we park as we won't need the car during our stay at Disneyworld. Is it close to the hotel? (e.g. walking distance)? Or do we park far away and get a shuttle

    Hey there, Brian!

Welcome to planDisney. I'm thrilled to hear you're considering a visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Whether you choose to stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or Disney's Contemporary Resort, you'll be just a Monorail ride away from the whimsy and wonder of Magic Kingdom Park and the all excitement of World Showcase at EPCOT.

As a Disney Resorts Collection hotel guest, complimentary standard self-parking is included with your resort stay. Additionally, you'll receive complimentary self-parking at the theme parks as well. But you sound a lot like me in that I don't plan to do much driving during our vacations. Instead, I let the friendly Cast Members operating the complimentary Walt Disney World Bus Service, Monorail, water taxis, and Disney Skyliner handle taking me from point A to B each day. It's one of the many wonderful benefits of staying on property.

Once you arrive for check-in, you'll have the option to pull right up to the lobby to unload your luggage before parking your vehicle just a short walk away. My husband and I enjoyed breakfast at Kona Cafe on a recent trip before making our drive back home. We were able to find a convenient parking spot less than a 2-minute walk away from the enchanting tropical entrance.

If you're looking for even more convenience Disney's Contemporary Resort is a short walk from the main gates of Magic Kingdom Park and the first Resort Monorail stop back at the end of your day. We have a stay booked there next summer and definitely plan to walk each morning and rest our legs on the way back to our room each evening. My kids are so excited to watch the Monorail glide through the resort each day, and I'm even more excited for them to have that experience as it's one of my own earliest childhood memories.

Brian, if we can answer any additional questions as you prepare for your trip please don't hesitate to come back and let us know. We're always glad to help!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
