Starting 6/28, if we are staying at Grand Floridian and want to take a bus from Disney Springs over to Gran Destino, will that be allowed or not? Do we actually have to be a guest of the resort we are going to or just an on-site hotel guest in general?

    Hey there, Andrea!

Welcome to planDisney! The Grand Floridian and the Gran Destino Tower are two of my favorite spots to visit. They both offer great views and fabulous lounges. Trying to decide between Enchanted Rose and the Dahlia Lounge is a tough call! Recent changes to Disney Transportation policies may impact how you get from here to there, so let's go over what's new.

Beginning on June 28th, Guests wishing to utilize Disney Transportation at Disney Springs will need to have a Disney Resort hotel or dining reservation. This includes the use of buses and the Sassagoula Boats. No other changes to transportation have been made at this time. Because this new policy is still a few days from its launch, some specific details have not been revealed just yet. This includes information about whether resort Guests can travel to other hotels from Disney Springs. I anticipate more information to be just around the river bend as this change gets closer.

Andrea, I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Transportation page as your check-in date gets closer! You can also check with a friendly Cast Member when you arrive at your resort hotel. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that some time at both resorts can stay a part of your magical itinerary.

We can't wait to see ya real soon!
