Hi Jules! You are just days away from visiting Mickey and Minnie! You must be so excited! That is a great question that you brought to planDisney! Whether a
Character Dining meal or table service dining, enjoying Disney Dining experiences is a fun part of any Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
While reservations are always encouraged (especially for popular locations), Guests are welcome to take advantage of standby seating (known as the Walk-Up List) at Disney Dining locations at the Disney Parks, Disney Springs, and in the resort hotels! For Walk-Up List seating, you can either visit the front desk in person at the restaurant or you can use your
My Disney Experience app to check for availability. The app is super convenient! When you open the app, search for a restaurant of your choice. When the page appears for the restaurant, slide the icons over to the one that states, “Join Walk-Up List.” Then follow the prompts to see if you can dine at that location. One important note to share is that you must be in proximity to the restaurant to join the “Walk-Up List.” You’ll receive a notice stating, “You’re Too Far Away” if you are not in proximity to the restaurant. If that is the case, then simply move closer to the restaurant you’d like to visit.
Jules, I hope this information is helpful. Also, as a PRO TIP for you, please note that Guests change their plans frequently at the Walt Disney World Resort which makes more reservations available. So, if you see a restaurant of interest, but you can’t find an advanced reservation, don’t give up! I’ve had success making reservations for some of the most popular Disney Dining locations on the “day of” dining!
Happy Planning!
