Hey there, Jayne, and welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you're ready to get on island time at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort! With its tropical vibes and laid-back energy, Caribbean Beach is a great place to decompress after a long park day. I recently stayed there with some planDisney pals, and I felt the stress leave my body the moment I arrived!
Now, Caribbean Beach is divided into five separate sections, and out of the five, two are considered "Preferred" - Barbados and Martinique. Barbados is extremely convenient if your priority is
Disney Skyliner access, whereas Martinique is tucked away just beside the main lobby (otherwise known as Old Port Royale). I stayed in the Martinique section during my visit, and I loved being so close to the
bus transportation and
Centertown Market. This made it so easy to pick up my coffee in the morning or a quick snack late at night.
As far as standard rooms, these are located in all other sections of the resort, including Aruba, Jamaica, and Trinidad (although select rooms in Aruba and Jamaica are also considered preferred). To get a better idea of the resort layout, you can take a look at the
resort map right here.
Jayne, one of the things I loved most about Caribbean Beach was that I could watch fireworks right from the resort! There's even a viewing area set up next to the playground on Caribbean Cay, complete with comfy Adirondack chairs that face in just the right direction! So grab a cocktail from
Banana Cabana and settle in for the show!
I hope this information helps you book the right room category for your stay, Jayne. If you have any other questions as you plan your "tropical" escape, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney!
Cheers,
Allison
