All guests are welcome to
use complimentary transportation options across Walt Disney World Resort. The current exception is bus and boat transportation from
Disney Springs to Disney Resort Collection hotels. Cast Members will verify a valid room reservation, Table Service dining reservation, or a pre-booked resort activity like horseback riding before you can access the transportation options at Disney Springs, so be sure any reservations or experiences are linked to your My Disney Experience account.
If you're not traveling from Disney Springs, you are free to
park in any theme park parking lot to begin your adventure. In most cases, you'll be a quick bus ride away from
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter (or its sister resort, Riverside), but you can
review directions and transportation options between destinations right from your
My Disney Experience app. By the way, hang on to your parking receipt if you plan to visit multiple theme parks on the same day, as your parking pass will be valid at all 4 theme parks on the date of your purchase. You can also utilize the in-app
car locator feature to keep tabs on the lot or lane where you parked.
I recommend parking at one of the theme parks instead of driving your own vehicle to Port Orleans, as resort parking is typically reserved for registered guests. Cast Members may allow you to pop in for a quick visit during slower periods, but this is always at their discretion, and I'd hate for you to be turned away.
