Bon appétit, Brendan, and thanks so much for letting planDisney help you get ready for your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! As a local, I'll admit I'm not an expert on
Disney dining plans, so let's do some detective work to get an answer.
I reached out to an apron-wearing Cast Member who said the key to a split-stay with two dining plans is to let your server know which resort reservation you want the entitlements to come from for every meal or snack on your transfer day. The dining plans are linked to your resort stays, so communicating your situation at the restaurant seems to be key.
Keep in mind that the second dining plan shouldn't activate until you've checked into the new resort, so any meals you have
after you've checked in are especially important to bring to your server's attention. The first dining plan will expire at 11:59 PM on check-out day, so be sure to use them all before the clock strikes!
Feel free to call the
Tickets and Hotel Reservations line if you need clarification or have additional questions. This is a fabulous "problem" to have, but I know you want to use every single meal you've purchased, as would I!
You can also stop by any
Guest Relations location or your Front Desk if you see your meals weren't pulled from the correct reservation. My friends track their
meal and snack allotments in the My Disney Experience mobile app, or you can check your most recent dining receipt.
Brendan, I'm so glad you stopped by
planDisney today; I think we both learned a bit more about dining plans; you might have convinced me to give them a try! Have a wonderful visit, and I hope to see ya real soon.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
