Welcome (foolish mortal) Melissa,
Thank you for materializing at planDisney with your inquiry today. In the words of Madame Leota, “We’ve been dying to have you.”
The lenticular spirit photos from
Memento Mori were frightfully fun, and I completely understand why you're hoping to let one hitch a ride home with you. One of these eerie portraits ranks as my son’s favorite souvenir and is always a great conversation starter when a new guest visits his room. Sadly, the photo opportunity vanished much like the Hatbox Ghost's head when the shop was renovated a few years back. The former portrait space now serves as a new checkout area.
The traffic flow in the shop is much-improved post-renovation and thankfully, plenty of spooky merchandise continues to be summoned from regions beyond. While the spirit photos may no longer haunt the space, terrifying treasures are called in just like "the spirits, wherever they’re at!" I've seen things appear and vanish over the years like apparitions, just like the ghost dog on a leash I purchased as a child decades ago.
Haunted Mansion remains one of my favorite attractions today, and I find myself visiting Memento Mori regularly to see what new ghoulish delights await. I hope you’ll find something that captivates your spirit next time you visit.
I have not heard of similar portrait opportunities being available at
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, but I'll cross my fingers that you'll find the perfect item to commemorate your visit. You can certainly inquire with Cast Members in Magic Kingdom Park or a Bellhop at The Hollywood Tower Hotel to see if they can point you toward something equally bone-chilling.
Melissa, I hope this was helpful. Though the photos in question now rest in peace with the other happy haunts, we're always here to help guide you as any Ghost Host would. Please hurry back and see us again with more questions.
Grim grinning regards,
Amy
