Oh, boy! Welcome to planDisney, Claudia, and thanks for this fabulous question. You've inspired me to consider a spontaneous Walt Disney World Resort trip! I think your son's family will be so happy to have you join them, so let's look at some options for a budget-friendly stay.
Choosing a
Disney Resort hotel is a smart move if your budget allows. Onsite perks, like complimentary
Resort Transportation, can save you precious time during your short visit. Remember, every second counts when you're at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Disney's All-Star Resorts have been a go-to location for my family, and for good reason. The theming is bright and festive, and the price is unbeatable. My son loved
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort when he was young, but my favorite is All-Star Music. You'll have free bus service to all four theme parks, plus early entry for your day at
Magic Kingdom Park.
I assume your family has booked a Family Suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, so check out a
Little Mermaid Standard Room here. Being close to your party would be a bonus; your grandkids might even want to have a sleepover with you! While these rooms can be pricier than the All-Star Resorts, spending more time with the kiddos is priceless.
Finally, take a look at the
Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels. These partner properties are typically near the theme parks but aren't Disney-owned. Most of these offer a shuttle service to the parks, but be sure to ask about operating hours. I stayed at a Good Neighbor Hotel and was disappointed when their last shuttle was well before the park closed. You can't miss
Happily Ever After; it's the best fireworks spectacular ever!
Feel free to contact
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations with any questions. They can help you book your stay and maybe even snag a
Special Offer.
Claudia, I hope you make many magical memories with your family on this visit. I love your adventurous spirit! Please stop by
planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
