My son has autism, I didnt think he would ride tron because he doesn’t ride bikes and I didn’t know if he’d know how to hold on properly, but I saw a video of a different ride vehicle you could ask for, is this true? My mama heart would love it if it were.

Hey there, Tara! Welcome back to planDisney!

I love that you are already putting together an itinerary for your 2026 Walt Disney World vacation. I often say that planning a Disney trip is almost as fun as actually going on it (emphasis on almost). It’s like a magical choose-your-own adventure with all the rides, dining, and entertainment options.

Your mama heart will be happy to hear that TRON Lightcycle / Run has an accessible ride vehicle at the end of select ride trains. It resembles a car or rover more than a lightcycle, but it features upright seating and a lap bar seat restraint, similar to many attractions at Walt Disney World. Just tell a friendly Cast Member at the bottom of the final ramp (just before loading) that you’d like to use the accessible ride vehicle and they’ll be happy to assist you. There may be a short wait to board since accessible ride vehicles aren’t attached to every lightcycle group.

I really enjoy TRON Lightcycle / Run even though I’m not much of a rollercoaster or thrill ride enthusiast. Remember that there is an on-ride photo located inside the launch tunnel, just before your vehicle exits the building. Whether you decide to strike a pose or stick with your mid-launch facial expression, these ride photos are some of my favorites because they capture such an authentic moment of excitement and joy.

I hope this info helps with your vacation planning, Tara. I’m sure your 2026 Disney vacation will be a blast. Pop right back if you have any other questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
