Hi Jan,
Thanks for coming back to planDisney! I'm happy to help as you make plans for your next visit.
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are a unique way to enjoy the great outdoors while staying right in the middle of the magic of Walt Disney World Resort. I've enjoyed horseback riding here on two previous occasions and am a big fan of the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue but I have yet to stay there as a guest. I'm definitely considering a future trip in one of
The Cabins, so we can bring our dog along with us one day!
Based on my research,
all campsites have individual sewer hookups except for the Tent or Pop-Up sites. You'll find hookups for water and electricity as well as a cable connection and complimentary high-speed WiFi access, however, Tent Campsites will not have direct dumping access for sewage. There is also not a central dump location available at the resort.
This answer from a past panelist indicates that you may be able to get by just by using the
comfort stations during your stay. These are located at each loop (smaller loops may share) and offer laundry facilities as well as private showers and bathrooms. You will need to bring your towels and toiletries but these should be a good alternative in lieu of a sewer hookup.
I know this is not the answer you hoped for, but I hope it won't deter you from enjoying a stay here in the future. The full range of resort activities and entertainment will still be at your disposal regardless of which campsite you end up choosing.
Jan, if we can offer any additional guidance as you prepare for your stay, please don't hesitate to come back and let us know. Wishing you a wonderful visit!
Magic and memories,
Amy
