My sister and I are from France, and she has a European Disability card. How do we make it work for her ? She is unable to remain standing or in crowds for too long. We heard we had to have a video meeting, but there is no such information on the website.

    Hiya, Ines!

I’m so thrilled to welcome you to planDisney, and I truly appreciate you stopping by with your question. It's always a joy to help fellow Guests plan their magical adventures! With your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth just around the corner, you must be getting so excited. There’s nothing quite like those final days leading up to a Disney vacation, filled with anticipation, planning, and a little extra pixie dust along the way. Before you know it, you’ll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A., soaking in the sights, sounds, and that unforgettable Disney magic. Your adventure is almost here…hooray!

At Walt Disney World, the magic is for everyone, and every effort is made to ensure your visit is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. For Guests with disabilities, a variety of helpful services are available, including Disability Access Service (DAS). This program is designed for Guests with developmental disabilities who may have difficulty waiting in a traditional standby line.

While DAS is not intended for mobility-related needs, there are still plenty of resources to help make your experience easier. If you’d like personalized guidance, you can connect with a Cast Member through a live video chat. They’ll walk you through available options and answer any questions you may have about your upcoming visit.

Since you’re located in France, you’ll need to wait until you arrive in the United States to access this feature. Once you’re here, you can easily connect with a Cast Member through your My Disney Experience app.

I recommend taking some time to explore Disney’s Accessibility Planning Guide & Recommendations before your trip. It’s an incredibly helpful resource that clearly outlines the various services and accommodations available throughout the parks, making it easier to plan for a smooth and enjoyable visit.

Also, don’t forget that if you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you can take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, which allows you to enter the parks 30 minutes before regular opening. Those extra early morning minutes can make a big difference. You'll be surprised at how much you can accomplish before the crowds arrive!

Ines, I hope this helps as you continue planning, and that you have the most magical visit to the most magical place! Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney.

    See ya real soon,
