Hi Kristina, and welcome to planDisney! I’m excited to hear that you’ll be staying right in the middle of the magic soon. So let’s make sure your luggage gets a bit of extra pixie dust!
If you booked a Disney World vacation package (typically with room and tickets), you’ll usually get a packet in the mail a couple of weeks before your check-in date. It’s a fun way to get excited for your trip! There’ll be luggage tags and sometimes other goodies like coupons for mini golf. If you don’t get the packet in time, you can often pick up luggage tags at your resort hotel’s front desk.
In my experience, you’ll receive one luggage tag for each guest on your room reservation. If you’d like additional tags, the Cast Members at the front desk might have extra to share. The last time I got them, each luggage tag was themed to Mickey or one of his pals. Pluto is my favorite!
As you get ready for your vacation, don’t forget about all of the
perks you get as a
Disney Resort hotel guest!
Before you get here, you’ll be able to book
Lightning Lane Passes seven days ahead of your check-in date for your entire stay (up to 14 days). This is a great advantage since popular Lightning Lane selections go quickly! You can also make reservations for
dining and
Enchanting Extras 60 days in advance for your entire stay (up to 10 days). This is a great way to snag those hard-to-get character breakfasts at
Topolino’s Terrace or appointments at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!
After you arrive at the Most Magical Place on Earth, you'll be able to enter the theme parks 30 minutes before other guests with
Early Theme Park Entry. My family and I took advantage of this during our last vacation and it was a great way to start the day with lower wait times. And if you’re staying at a Deluxe Resort hotel or Deluxe villa, you’ll also get access to
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours.
There’s even a brand new perk for 2025—
complimentary water park admission on your check-in day! That’s right, 100% on the Mouse.
And finally, one of my favorite perks is seeing Mickey and friends right at your resort hotel! Their visits used to be a surprise, but more recently I’ve noticed signs with specific days and times in the lobbies. Keep an eye out for the schedule or ask a Cast Member. There’s nothing more magical than bumping into a Disney friend when you’re walking around the resort! It’s also a great opportunity to get photos with a short line.
I hope you have a wonderful stay at your Disney Resort hotel! And don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney if you have any other questions.
