Is there a shuttle to Art of Animation from airport or any other shuttle to the resorts?

    Hiya Sara!

Welcome to planDisney! Sara, my friend, you are going to be at Walt Disney World Resort tomorrow! Are you excited? I say this as I sadly sit at home pining to be you right now.

Well, let me see how I can assist you in getting to your sure-to-be delightful stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort! Unfortunately, Walt Disney World Resort no longer provides a free or even paid shuttle service to the Resorts. As a result, you will have to find a private service to get you to your destination from the airport.  I'm hoping you are arriving at Orlando International Airport or MCO which is the closest airport to Walt Disney World Resort. The most commonly used private shuttle option is by a company called Mears Connect. You can make a reservation for your arrival tomorrow or you can visit their booth at the airport to see if they have space in an available shuttle. They have booths located at Terminal B, Level 1, and Terminal C, Level 1.  Look for the signs throughout the airport. I highly recommend booking in advance to ensure you have a shuttle available when you arrive. I have used them before and sometimes the shuttle is a van or a large bus. Just a heads up, the vehicle may stop at multiple locations.  I prefer requesting an Uber or Lyft to get me to the Resorts. The cost is sometimes comparable to the shuttle for my family of four and I am not sharing the vehicle with anyone else. If booking with Mears Connect, make sure to reserve your trip back to the airport at the end of your vacation as well!

Once you arrive on Walt Disney World Resort property you are now able to use all of the various complimentary transportation options available to guests. Staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort is strategic as there is a Disney Skyliner station located on the bridge between this resort and its neighbor resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort. The Disney Skyliner connects guests to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT along with a few other resorts. Bus transportation is also available for guests to take them to Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If you are feeling fancy while on-site you can reserve a Disney Minnie Van which is available through the Lyft app and operated by a Cast Member. These vehicles can include 2 complimentary child seats if you need them! There is a fluctuating fee and they are not available at all times but I love how convenient they are when desperate to get somewhere. I especially love using the Minnie Van service when going to Magic Kingdom Park as the drop-off location is very close to the entrance.

I hope this helps my friend! Safe travels!

    Happy Planning!
