We are staying at The Art of Animation. I just made dinner reservations at a restaurant in The Port of New Orleans. Can you tell me the best way to get to the restaurant from the hotel? About how long should it take to get there?

    Hi Cheryl!

Your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation is right around the corner! I love that you're mapping out your plans to make sure you're maximizing your time and multiplying your fun!

To get from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Disney's Port Orleans Resort for your dining reservation, you have a couple of options, but keep in mind Disney doesn't offer direct resort-to-resort transportation. Here's a fun and efficient way to make the journey:

Take a complimentary Disney bus from Art of Animation to one of the theme parks or Disney Springs. Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park all have bus services that run regularly. Once you arrive at the theme park or Disney Springs, look for the bus stop that services Disney's Port Orleans Resort.

The entire journey can take about 60 to 90 minutes, depending on wait times for buses and transfers. It's always a good idea to allow extra time for transportation within Walt Disney World Resort, especially when you have dining reservations.

For a more direct route, consider using a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft, or a taxi. This option is faster, with travel time typically around 20 to 30 minutes, but it does come with a cost.

No matter which way you choose to travel, I hope you enjoy a wonderful evening and a delicious meal at Disney's Port Orleans Resort.
