Hey there, Heather!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with an excellent
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. It looks like you're currently on-site enjoying a stay at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Oh boy! I hope your vacation is off to a wonderful start, and I'd be happy to help you plan the best route to get to
Chef Mickey's for a magnificent meal.
Heather, as a Guest of
Disney's Pop Century Resort, you have a myriad of complimentary transportation options available to you! I'm going to share a few options and allow you to plan your day based on your favorite mode of
Walt Disney World Resort transportation:
1. Since your Resort hotel is situated directly on the
Disney Skyliner, you could hop aboard a gondola and soar over to Disney's Hollywood Studios. From there, you'll want to catch a complimentary shuttle bus to
Disney's Contemporary Resort. Be sure to check the
Hours & Events Calendar to ensure that the Disney Skyliner will be operational at the time you're hoping to fly over to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Typically, it begins running approximately one hour before early theme park entry begins and ends operation approximately 90 minutes after EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios close for the day.
2. For a more direct route, catch a bus from Disney's Pop Century Resort to Magic Kingdom Park. Then, walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort using the footpath. This is a pleasant little walk, taking around 20 minutes at a leisurely pace, and one I've used a lot this week as my own family has enjoyed a stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort!
Bus service usually begins about 45 minutes before the early theme park entry period and ends around one hour after the theme parks close. Alternatively, you could use the Resort Monorail to reach Disney's Contemporary Resort from Magic Kingdom Park if you'd prefer not to walk!
3. For the speediest and most convenient option, utilize
Disney Minnie Van service, powered by the Lyft app. Though this service costs a small fee to use, it'll offer the quickest transfer directly between the two Disney Resort hotels without having to stop at any theme parks.
Heather, I hope you've found these suggestions helpful as you prepare for a fun-filled feast at Chef Mickey's! I hope you enjoy the remainder of your visit and make many magical memories. If you have any more questions during your stay, feel free to revisit us here at
planDisney. We're all ears!
We're pumping up the party now,
Lauren
