Hi Cassandra!
Welcome to planDisney! You’ve come to the right place to begin your planning. Here at
planDisney, we are a group of experienced Disney Guests who love helping other Guests plan their vacations! We can
recommend resorts that are great for kids, best character meals, answer questions about what types of tickets to choose for your family, and offer tips and tricks to get the most out of your vacation!
It sounds like you are just beginning your planning, Cassandra. Let’s see if we can get you started! First, know that kids under the age of 3 don’t need a
theme park ticket and can be accommodated as an additional guest in a room while not counting as part of the room occupancy. So if a room says it sleeps 4, it actually sleeps 4 plus one child under the age of 3 in a crib. Children ages 3 to 9 years old are considered children when it comes to ticket and dining prices, and those ages 10 and up are considered adults.
Disney no longer offers printed materials that can be sent to Guests in the mail, but you can look at all kinds of pricing online, right from the comfort of your home!
Use the Walt Disney World Website to enter the dates you wish to visit and the number of Guests, and you can see prices and availability for your dates. Please know that with a party that size, you'll likely need to book multiple rooms, so instead of searching for 9 adults and 2 kids, break it down into smaller room groups to see more choices. As you view different Disney Resort Collection Hotels showing availability, you can select the links available to learn more about each resort, the room types available, features, and amenities. You can even book yourself directly online! Can’t decide between
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort or
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort? Send us a question here at planDisney to see what we like about each! Want to know more about
Disney Deluxe Villa Accommodations? We can chat with you about those too!
If you’d like one-on-one, personalized service to plan your trip, I recommend an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. These are travel agents that specialize in Disney vacations and can be your guide through the entire trip planning process. A quick search of your favorite browser should give you lots of options. Many people mistakenly believe a travel agent costs more, but it does not! Your Disney vacation will cost the same if you book yourself, or use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner.
Cassandra, it’s so exciting to begin planning your visit! Check out some of the links I’ve provided and let us know what additional questions we can help you with as your planning progresses!
