Disney's Pop Century Resort pool; family; siblings

    I've seen you are piloting the return of Resort Airline Check-in. We are staying at Pop Century next week and flying Southwest Airline. I've read that this is the situation that is eligible. Will it be available April 11th?

    Hiya Sam! Welcome to planDisney! You are just days away from your magical vacation... oh, I'm so excited for you!

    Thanks for visiting us today, and bringing up this great question. I was personally very happy to see this pilot run of allowing guests at some locations to check their bags in to the airline right at their Disney Resort. Perks like this are so helpful and convenient to families! I hope this continues to expand... I'll be wishing on a star for it to continue, that's for sure!

    So to be clear, planDisney panelists are just guests like you. As such, we don't have any insider knowledge on the official plans that Disney World has for this program, or it's duration. That being said, you stand an excellent chance of this be offered when you depart Pop Century on April 11. Just today I read a report about this pilot program starting to become available at additional Disney resort locations (other Value Resorts, in addition to Pop Century). That's an excellent sign that it's going well, is being expanded, and will continue!

    I found a few more details on the Disney World website describing their Airport Luggage Transfer service, and Pop Century is listed. Because you are flying with Southwest Airlines, it sounds like this service will be available to you. Woo hoo!
