Can I schedule a photo shoot with 26 people in Magic Kingdom in front of the castle?

    Hi Sue!

Thanks for bringing us your question today. I'm thrilled to hear about your visit next week and am focused on helping you make picture-perfect memories.

Capture Your Moment: Magic Kingdom Park private photo sessions can be reserved for a fee for a maximum party size of 8 guests. However, guests are welcome to book multiple sessions for a longer experience and a fellow panelist shared that she booked two back-to-back sessions to accommodate her larger group. Since you're also hoping to zoom out to fit a large group, you would need to reserve multiple 20-minute time slots. These sessions can be booked online 60 days in advance, and due to popularity, do book up quickly.

I took a look at the availability for your date of visit and luckily spotted some picture-perfect afternoon time slots available. However, since you’ll be shutter-ing through with a large party, I recommend giving the Tours/Recreation Team a call at (407) 939-7529 to confirm that multiple sessions will develop the way you’d like before finalizing your purchase.

Keep in mind that each 20-minute session is currently priced at $99, but that does not include any prints or photo downloads. However, if you have already purchased, or plan to purchase Memory Maker, that will allow you to download photos from your Capture Your Moment sessions.

If back-to-back private sessions don’t quite click with your plans, I do have an alternate suggestion. Disney PhotoPass photographers are stationed in prime locations around the parks and would likely be happy to document your group's visit. This won't be a 20-minute private session with multiple locations and poses, but in my experience, these amazing Cast Members love framing memories on the fly.

In fact, I was part of a big group photo with some fellow panelists last fall. We politely asked a PhotoPass photographer to lend us a lens, and soon we were all lined up saying "cheese" together. This happened during the transition between Magic Kingdom Park's daytime hours and the start of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and this photo, of all our unique costumes and smiling faces with the beautiful Cinderella Castle as a backdrop, is one of my favorite memories from that trip.

If you prefer to go this route keep traffic flow in mind and ask politely. Cast Members love making magic but your group should avoid blocking walkways or creating a spectacle. You may be asked to wait for space to open up or come back at a less busy time, but that will just give you time to prepare your smiles and make sure everyone is neat and pretty. After the pictures are taken don't forget to link them to your My Disney Experience Mobile App to download and share. Again, you'll need to purchase Memory Maker to download these without a watermark, but can opt for Memory Maker One Day if you have a short visit.

I hope this helped, Sue. Please flash back and see us again with more planning questions and have a fantastic trip!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
