Welcome to planDisney, Diane! It sounds like we have a lot in common because
the holiday season is my favorite time to be at Walt Disney World Resort. There really is some extra magic in the air at this time of year!
While there isn't an official schedule of when all the decorations are expected to be in place, we can make some educated guesses based on what has happened in previous years.
Magic Kingdom Park is usually fully decorated with the tree up on Main Street, U.S.A., by the first
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party of the year, which is November 9 this year.
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Disney's Animal Kingdom are also usually fully decorated by the kick-off of the official Christmas season, which is November 11 this year!
EPCOT typically takes a little bit longer because the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival runs through November 18, but you can usually expect the Christmas decorations to be up by the time the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays starts, which will be on November 24.
The
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels also like to get in on the holiday fun, and their Christmas trees will start to go up throughout November. The construction of the gingerbread house at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is already underway, so that should be completed in the next few weeks, with the tree following shortly after! Last year, that tree went up in the second week of November, which is about the same time we can expect to see them throughout the rest of the Resort Hotels as well. All of these dates are estimates and are subject to change, but I think you're likely to see some Christmas magic on your visit next week!
I hope this answers your question, Diane, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
