You have made a great plan for an outstanding day at
Walt Disney World!
At least once per trip, we love combining some park time with an incredible meal at a nearby iconic restaurant. 'Ohana is surely one of them. The key here is to decide the best combination of
parking and
resort transportation that adds the most flexibility to your day.
While guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary self-parking when dining at a Disney resort hotel restaurant, you are correct that this is limited to the time during which you'll be dining. Lori, we like to have our car closest to where we'll be when we end our day of dining and park fun; this makes exiting the magic a little easier.
Because your visit starts with a magical meal at
'Ohana, then ends at
Magic Kingdom Park, I agree that parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) is the way to go. This way, you won't have to keep your eye on the clock and can enjoy your hours however you want to spend them. Park your car at TTC, then, if you'd like a leisurely walk to the restaurant, it is so easy to do so. Check out this map of
Disney's Polynesian Resort Village and look to the bottom right. You'll see the grey buildings of the TTC and a large ferry that can take you to Magic Kingdom. However, look a little left of that, and you'll see the path that links the TTC to the Polynesian. You'll get a lovely look at the resort as you head toward the Great Ceremonial House--home to 'Ohana.
Guests may also take the monorail, however, keep in mind that you'll be hopping onto the loop just after the Polynesian stop. You'll still get there, but it will take a bit longer to circle
Seven Seas Lagoon and arrive back at the Polynesian. On the plus side? It's a beautiful, air conditioned ride.
After you've enjoyed either Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch or a Hawaiian-inspired delicious dinner, you have some options for heading into Magic Kingdom. If you'd like a chance to relax after that meal, head to the
Resort Monorail station which is conveniently located on the same floor as 'Ohana. After a quick stop at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you'll seamlessly glide to Magic Kingdom. So easy!
Lori, after hours of park fun, you can either hop back onto the monorail and get off at the TTC or take a ferry right from the dock in front of Magic Kingdom. The ferry drops you off right back at TTC--just next to the Polynesian. Some days and nights are just made even brighter when you glide across a lagoon or lake using
Walt Disney World Water Transportation. The breeze, the sights--it's a lovely way to end your day.
