Hi Randy,
I see you have excellent taste in lodging. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge are my two favorite Disney Resort hotels. They both have so many fabulous amenities, the restaurants are delicious, and they are as close to the magic as you can get. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of preparing for your stay in the heart of the magic.
I love taking advantage of
Disney’s Direct-to-Room Service when checking in for our adventures. It is a super easy process in the
My Disney Experience app that lets you notify Disney of your arrival time, select some standard room requests, and bypass the front desk when you arrive. When you complete the online check-in process, there will be a drop-down menu for room requests. It is not extensive, so if you have a more specific request that is not listed, a quick call to
Disney Resort Reservations can work wonders, as they can manually add your special request. Alternatively, you can reach out directly to your Disney Resort hotel, where the friendly Cast Members can accommodate more specific preferences and assist with any additional needs before your arrival.
Keep in mind that Disney World does its best to accommodate room requests, but they are just requests at the end of the day and cannot be guaranteed. You will also need to confirm that your request options are even a possibility with the room type that you booked. Most of the rooms at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa that overlook the lobby are Club-Level Rooms, so if you did not book this room type, then you will not be in the Main Lobby building.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
