Are rollaway Beds available at the Animal kingdom lodge in the Jambo house . Were a party of 4 but we need to sleep separately since we are not family members

Jambo, Kathleen! Thanks for bringing your great question our way.

I'm thrilled to hear that you're planning on visiting Walt Disney World Resort with some of your friends! I know you're looking to make sure that the accommodations are just right so everyone can get their Sleeping Beauty rest. Unfortunately, after checking with a Cast Member, I was able to confirm that rollaway beds are no longer available as an option at Disney Resorts Collection hotels due to Florida safety and fire codes. But Hakuna Matata! No worries! I have a few ideas that may be just right for you.

My best tip would be to select a room (or rooms!) that will be able to adequately support your travel party, with no rollaway bed needed! For example, you may want to select two rooms at a resort so everyone has enough space to spread out. If you're looking at value or moderate resort options, I personally love Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter! You may even want to book an additional room at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge (one of my favorites!) and request to be nearby or connecting with your first room. You could also look for rooms at Disney Resort hotels that offer a 5th sleeper bed, which is a pull-down bed from the wall that can accommodate an extra Guest. Typically, these beds are smaller than a standard bed, just so you're aware! You can find 5th sleeper rooms at  Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort (but make sure that you specifically book from the "5th Sleeper" category of rooms!).

Kathleen, no matter which option you go with, I know you have an extra magical trip right around the corner! Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog to stay up-to-date on everything you can expect during your visit, and tune in to the planDisney Podcast where panelists (who are Guests, just like you!) share their best tips and personal advice for Disney vacations. And of course, please write back if you have any other questions! We're always here to help.

You've got a friend in me,
