Hey, Linda! Welcome to planDisney from a fellow Kentuckian! I was born in the Bluegrass State but spend half the year in Florida now. It's the best of both worlds! You have a
Walt Disney World Resort adventure coming up before Remy can whip up some ratatouille, so let's look at planning your meals during your trip.
It sounds like you have the
Disney Dining Plan, so prepare your palate for some delicious eats! The feature I like the most about the plan is that you can choose from most entrees on the menu and not worry about the price. The sky is the limit!
I double-checked with a sous-chef Cast Member who said most restaurants won't allow you to combine a dining plan meal with money or a credit card. She said if a restaurant's entrees require you to redeem two meals, you'd need two meals left in your plan. You could also pay for that meal separately.
Another option is skipping a single table service meal and opting for a snack instead, giving you an extra meal to combine for your signature experience. Many snack options make a fabulous light lunch, so you could play with your available meals and save two for the special occasion. One of my favorite snacks is the Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzel at the
The Lunching Pad in Magic Kingdom Park; I had one for lunch on a recent visit!
I haven't used a dining plan in a while, but my go-to fine dining experience is
Cítricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Mary Poppins theme is whimsical and fun, and the Ancient Grains "Stew" is practically perfect. Like most
Fine and Signature Dining locations, the entrees count as two meals at Cítricos.
Linda, I hope your visit cooks up some treasured memories for you and your party. Please stop by
planDisney anytime! I'll be the one wearing a Derby hat!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
