Hi there, Dylan!
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you are planning an upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth and are already thinking about the delicious meals that await you. I firmly believe that Walt Disney World Resort calories don't count, so let's dig right in!
I'm happy to report that Walt Disney World Resort not only provides
complimentary transportation for Guests to the theme parks from their Disney Resort hotel but between the theme parks as well. As long as your theme park tickets have the Park Hopper option, you can simply hop aboard a bus, boat, Monorail, or aerial gondola to make your way to your next destination for a dining reservation. Currently, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park only offers connections by bus, but Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT are connected by
Walt Disney World's Monorail System while EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios are connected by both
FriendShip Boat and the
Disney Skyliner. If you're looking for more specific information and tips on traveling around Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to check out planDisney's recent
blog post and
podcast talking all things Walt Disney World transportation.
Since you inquired specifically about Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and EPCOT, I wanted to recommend a few of my favorite restaurants to help you maximize your dining plan. In Disney's Animal Kingdom, my family never skips
Yak & Yeti™ Restaurant. The food is filling, delicious, and unique, and the theming of the restaurant is unparalleled. It tells a story in itself! In EPCOT you'll find my absolute favorite character dining experience,
Garden Grill Restaurant. It features a classic cast of characters (Pluto, Chip, Dale, and did someone say Farmer Mickey in overalls?) and a rotating backdrop, while its greenhouse-fresh produce from
Living with the Land creates a delicious and filling meal all for 1 Table Service Credit on the
Disney Dining Plan. I'm also fond of
Via Napoli in the Italy Pavilion of the World Showcase and the immersive experience of
Space 220 Restaurant.
As a final tip, when traveling between theme parks - especially for a dining reservation - be sure to allow at least 1 hour for travel to your destination. If you enter your destination in the My Disney Experience mobile app, it will helpfully point you to the quickest route. How magical is that?
I hope this was helpful, Dylan, and that your upcoming vacation is filled with efficient transportation and tasty treats. If you have any additional questions or are in need of recommendations for maximizing the magic during your vacation, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
