Hi there, Austin!
I am so delighted that you stopped by planDisney to inquire about meeting my two favorite guys, Chip and Dale (Shhhhh! Don't tell my husband and dog that it's not them!). A hug from this duo of rascally chipmunks is on my must-do list during each magical vacation because there's just something about the silly way they interact with each other (and Guests) that never fails to bring a smile to my face.
My most recent experiences indicate that Chip 'n' Dale are currently greeting Guests in
Magic Kingdom Park's Frontierland and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park's DinoLand U.S.A. in their adorable (excuse me, fearsome) Chipmunk-O-Saurus costumes. During my last visit, the Frontierland meet and greet was only available for personal photos while DinoLand featured a
Disney PhotoPass photographer ready to capture those magical memories. Speaking of photos, you are more than welcome to request individual photos with each of them in addition to a group shot. Of course, you might get a bit of rascally nonsense from the chipmunk not currently in the photo, but that's just part of their charm. A Cast Member recently captured a .5 photo of just Chip and me on my phone, and it is the most delightfully ridiculous photo of such a magical moment.
Character meeting schedules can be helpfully found in the My Disney Experience app for each theme park, so I would check that each day to verify locations and times during your visit to ensure you are able to capture your photos. As a bonus tip: additional potential Chip 'n' Dale interactions can be found at
Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT where they will visit your table individually (I was treated to an epic Dale dance party on a recent girls' trip), sightings in
Magic Kingdom Park's Festival of Fantasy Parade (they love a quality hype squad as they travel past), and
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds.
I hope this was helpful, Austin, and that you don't think I'm too
nutty for sharing this much information about character meet-and-greets. In my opinion, part of the Disney magic is embracing your inner child, and saying 'Hello' to our favorite characters allows even the most mature Mousketeers to do just that.
Should any additional questions arise as you plan, hakuna matata! Feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
