With the resort Guest restriction now as of 2026, how can I get to Port Orleans FQ? We usually take the bus from Disney Springs, just go grab beignets and leave. Can we still? Or if we drive there will we be turned away?

    Hey there, Chelsey!

I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney, and I’m glad you brought your question our way! It sounds like you’re planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth and have your sights set on one of my favorite sweet treats…those delicious beignets from Scat Cat’s Club Café at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter! I certainly can’t blame you for wanting to enjoy a few of these fluffy, powdered-sugar-covered treats. They’re absolutely scrumptious and the perfect way to add a little extra sweetness to your Disney day!

The best way to get there will really depend on whether you’ll be staying on property during your visit. If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you’ll have the option of taking the complimentary boat from Disney Springs to Port Orleans Resort.

If you’ll be staying off property, you’ll need to make a few other arrangements. You could park at one of the theme parks and then use Disney transportation to get to the Resort, or you could use a rideshare service and head directly to Port Orleans French Quarter.

Another option, if you’d like to make an evening out of it, would be to book a dining reservation at Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. With a dining reservation, you can park at the Resort while you dine. Afterward, you could take a leisurely stroll over to French Quarter, pick up your beignets from Scat Cat’s Club Café, and enjoy a sweet treat for dessert!

Chelsey, I hope these suggestions help you find the best way to reach your delicious destination during your visit! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and I hope you have a magical vacation filled with plenty of fun, memorable moments, and, of course, some yummy beignets!
