I’m simply delighted to welcome you to planDisney! It looks like your magical vacation is just a few short weeks away, and I bet you’re practically dying with anticipation! How wonderful that this will be your very first visit to Walt Disney World. I can only imagine how excited you must be as you count down the days.
And what a frightfully fun way to experience your first visit! You’ll be attending one of my favorite special-ticketed events,
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. You’re in for an evening filled with spooky surprises, wickedly wonderful entertainment, and plenty of treats…no tricks required! I have a feeling this will be a first visit you’ll never forget!
It’s wonderful that you’ve already arranged
Disability Access Service (DAS) for your son! I’m sure this will be a fantastic resource for your family and help make your time in the parks more comfortable and enjoyable. I’m happy to share that DAS will be available for you to use during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so you can continue to take advantage of the service while enjoying the evening’s frightfully fun festivities. You’ll also be able to use
Rider Switch, giving your family even more flexibility as you experience attractions together.
As a quick reminder, once you scan into the park you’re visiting, you’ll be able to request your first DAS return time right through the
My Disney Experience app. After you’ve scanned into your attraction, you’ll generally be able to select your next return time about 10 minutes later.
If you happen to run into any trouble along the way, don’t worry! You can stop by a member of the
Guest Experience Team for assistance. Look for the Cast Members underneath the large blue umbrellas throughout the parks. They'll be happy to help you with any questions or issues you may encounter.
And before I send you on your way, I have one more little tip! Be sure to pick up a complimentary First Visit Celebration Button when you arrive. You can find them at the Front Desk of your Disney Resort or at any
Guest Relations location in the theme parks. It’s such a fun little way to celebrate this exciting milestone and let Cast Members and other Guests know that you’re experiencing the magic of Walt Disney World for the very first time!
