Hi Ruben, welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question. Looks like you'll be zipping into Disneyland soon so let's get to it!
I recently spent a few days in the Most Magical Place on Earth with my mom, who rented an ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicle), and there's no way we could've experienced everything we experienced in the parks without it!
I'm so thankful you're thinking ahead, Ruben, because Disneyland does provide
mobility devices for rent, including ECVs and manual wheelchairs, but may not be reserved in advance. Plan to arrive early at the
Stroller Shop just outside the theme parks, just east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, as a limited number of ECVs and wheelchairs are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. I confirmed with a friendly Cast Member that the Stroller Shop opens one hour prior to park opening. (Hours are subject to change without notice.)
However, for Guests staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel, arrangements can be made to pre-order an ECV or wheelchair (or stroller!) to be delivered to their hotel for a length-of-stay rental. For contact information, visit the
Disneyland website and find details under "Disney Featured Provider". Love those perks of staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel!
Tip: When you arrive to the parks, stop by any
Guest Relations location and ask for a
Guide for Guests with Disabilities. This detailed guide map indicates where and how to access attractions and was a game-changer for me and my mom as we navigated the parks. Each attraction varies, so your best bet is to speak with a Cast Member at the attraction you wish to experience, to discuss what your options might be. There are
multiple services available for those with mobility disabilities.
Well, Ruben, I have no doubt you'll be off and rolling along in no time! I hope this information has been helpful! If you have any additional questions as you prepare for your visit, please don't hesitate to
reach out again. Happy to help!
Your pal,
McCayla
