Hi Mary Ruth,
Welcome to planDisney!
Character dining is one of my absolute favorite experiences at the Walt Disney World® Resort! Looking at your arrival date, it seems like you are within your
advanced dining reservation window, so you do need to make those reservations as soon as possible!
To make those reservations, you can either go to the website list of
restaurants where reservations are accepted or use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. I often use the mobile app. To make a reservation in the mobile app, open the app and click on the plus sign at the bottom. Then click "Check Dining Availability." From the website, click on My Disney Experience on the righthand side of the page and then click on "Reserve Dining." As you might suspect, character dining can be quite popular, so start checking!
Fortunately, there are several terrific options for
character meals. Our family loves Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, Chef Mickey's, Tusker House Restaurant, The Crystal Palace, Hollywood & Vine, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. We tend to do character meals at breakfast because the cost is a little more budget-friendly for us and, it gets us up and out to start the day! Also, from time to time, we have early flights to Disney and we schedule a character breakfast as the official start to the magic!
As you make those dining reservations, do not get discouraged if there is no or limited availability. Just keep checking. Availability has often popped up for us right before our trip. I also love a good window view when they are available. We request a window table at The Crystal Palace and Cinderella's Royal Table. Although requests are not guaranteed, it's such a treat when we do get a request!
Mary Ruth, sending a little extra dining reservation pixie dust hoping you find a delightful location with your favorite characters!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
