I'm struggling to make dining reservations. Do you have guidance for me?

Unfold your menu, Robert, because you're our guest here at planDisney! I'd love to help you make some advanced dining reservations for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit. It looks like you're within the 60-day booking window, so tie that napkin 'round your neck and get ready to enjoy some fine dining.

You can book dining online, but I prefer using the My Disney Experience mobile app. Tap the plus sign at the bottom center and choose "Check Dining Availability." You'll probably be asked to sign in, and then you'll select your party size, date, and preferred time of day. The next page will automatically populate with all restaurants available, so tap the blue filters section at the top left to choose specific locations, character dining, and even cuisine categories.

At a glance, there are still many restaurants available in mid-March, so I recommend you give it a try soon for the best selection. Remember that Signature and Character Dining often fill up quickly, so look for those first.

I have some tips if the meals you want in the theme parks are unavailable. First, keep checking right up until your visit. Guests change their plans often, so I've had luck finding reservations in the days leading up to my arrival.

Another idea is to branch out to find meals at Disney Springs or at Disney Resort Hotels. One of my favorite restaurants is Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The food is delicious, and there's something extra special about their ketchup.

Finally, I think you'll be surprised at the quick-service dining options at the theme parks. My husband and I always take a lunch break at Woody's Lunchbox in Disney's Hollywood Studios. The Plant-based "Totchos" are tasty, and it's enchanting to eat among Andy's toys. Mobile Ordering on your app is a snap! You can choose when you'd like to pick up your food, so we place our order early and go about our day. Just click "I'm here, Prepare my order" when you arrive.

Robert, I hope you book some fantastic and delectable dining for next month's visit. Please stop by planDisney with any planning questions you have. You can be our guest anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
