Hiya Tom,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.
The Disneyland Resort requires a valid
theme park ticket and
theme park reservation for admission into the parks (subject to change). Guests can review park reservation availability ahead of time on the
Theme Park Reservation Calendar, which accounts for the variety of tickets available.
Magic Key pass holders have their own set of park reservations they can view on the
Magic Key Calendar. Without a park reservation, Guests with a theme park ticket will not be granted admission into the parks.
I recommend checking the Theme Park Reservation Calendar before purchasing tickets to ensure the parks do not reach capacity on the day you wish to visit. An unused one-day ticket is valid through December 30, 2025, and a multi-day ticket must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 12, 2026, whichever occurs first (dates subject to change). You can purchase a ticket whenever you like (either on the
official Disneyland website or the
Disneyland app), but the theme park reservation must be for the day you wish to visit the parks.
Tip from Tiffany: Did you know Guests can
modify existing park reservations if you wish to change your visit date? You can easily modify a theme park reservation on the Disneyland website. Head to "Ticket and Reservations Details" found under the heading "My Disneyland." Next, click "Make or Modify Park Reservations" and then click "Modify Reservation". Select the date and/or theme park you wish to change to and then enjoy your visit!
