Galactic greetings Deatra, and welcome to planDisney!
I'm glad to provide you with a little interstellar insight before you head 220 miles up into the starry skies above Florida on a culinary quest to enjoy
Space 220 Restaurant's out-of-this-world dining experience. Space puns aside, I'm sure you must be wondering what your options are with your less-adventurous eaters in tow and I can provide you with some insight from a similar experience this year:
- When we dined recently at Space 220 Restaurant this year, we were informed that everyone on the reservation would be required to pay the full price for the prix fixe menu with no guarantee of any substitutions or exceptions, even if certain items were not eaten. (It's important to remember that this restaurant is not Disney-operated by rather run by the third-party Patina Restaurant Group whose policies and offerings are subject to change without prior notice, and may be at the discretion of the management when you dine.)
The spirit of the part of EPCOT where Space 200 Restaurant is located is one of exploration, experimentation and discovery and as a former picky eater myself I always understood that sometimes I wouldn't have the same access to certain dining options or feel entitled to take up spots coveted by folks who were excited to enjoy the items on the menu in contrast. Personally, I also don't think that you should miss out on this highly sought-after experience so in the event that the restaurant won't allow you to be seated with two non-paying guests, it may be a good idea to discuss with those two members of your party whether they can split off to find alternate plans to enjoy while you blast off high above and meet them again upon your return to Earth!
Either way, I hope your experience is nothing less than stellar!
