I have reservations for Oct 27. I am an annual pass holder and I am going to join the virtual queue for Tania's ride. Its only me and my son going. Will he be able to join the queue as well? I can not leave him alone while I ride.

Hi there, Alex, and welcome to planDisney!

We're so happy that you stopped by with your question! How exciting that your special day at Disneyland Park is less than a week away and that they're going to be holding a special preview for Tiana's Bayou Adventure just for Magic Key Holders on that date! Future dates of the preview leading up to the Grand Opening on November 15, 2024 can be found within the Magic Key Portal of the Disneyland Mobile App

I spoke with a Cast Member before answering to confirm this information. Your situation will depend on a number of things that were not detailed in your question, so let me go over a few scenarios for you.

    • If your son is under 3 years of age, he will be able to ride alongside you without a Virtual Queue. Children under 3 years may be brought onto attractions in the same method that the supervising adult uses (virtual queue, Lightning Lane, standby queue, etc.) without needing anything special. However, for Tiana's Bayou Adventure, he will need to meet the 40" minimum height requirement.
    • If your son is over 3 years old, he will need to join the Virtual Queue in order to ride with you. That means that he will also need to have his own Magic Key Pass and meet the minimum height requirement. If the two of you are linked together on your account, you'll be able to join the Virtual Queue together so you are assigned the same group. You'll be able to join the Virtual Queue at 7 a.m. that day and again at noon (after entering the Parks).

I'm really excited for you to see this attraction in action! If you and your son get hungry, there's always Tiana's Palace nearby where you can get the House Gumbo and snack on the House-filled Beignets! Plus, you've got all the Halloween decorations to admire. Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit is another fun scavenger hunt that you could experience with your son!

Alex, I hope that it all works out for you both to be able to experience this attraction. If anything, it'll open to the general public after November 15, 2024 so everyone can enjoy it. I do really like how they're making us Magic Key Holders feel special, though. Please don't be a stranger and feel free to write again with any more questions. You're always welcome here!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
