Hi there, Carolyn!
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for your question! I love dining at
Disney's Contemporary Resort; they have some of the best restaurants (including one of my family's favorites,
Steakhouse 71!). The great thing about dining at different Disney Resort hotels is that there is no entrance fee needed to eat there. If you are traveling to the Contemporary by car, you will just need to present your dining reservation information to the gate guard before parking/getting dropped off. If you are coming from a theme park, just board the bus or Monorail and walk in. If you are driving your car, keep in mind that there is a three-hour parking limit before facing the risk of being towed.
Make the most of your afternoon after lunch by hopping on the Monorail and visiting Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Make it a foodie afternoon by stopping at
Pineapple Lanai for a DOLE Whip and
Gasparilla Island Grill for a pastry or their delicious Macaroni & Cheese. Some of my favorite memories from visiting Walt Disney World have included this activity, and it gives us ideas of which Disney Resort hotel we want to stay at on our next visit.
Carolyn, I hope all of this information was helpful! Thank you again for visiting us at planDisney. Reach out again if you need an additional sprinkle of pixie dust added to your plans. You've got a friend in me!
