I have a reservation to stay at the Polynesian Resort Villas and Bungalows. I wanted to know where Tokelau was located on the property. Is it a ground floor unit? or in a hotel on a higher level floor? Thank you, Debbie

    Aloha, Debbie!

A warm welcome to planDisney and mahalo for bringing us your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. Soon, you'll be relaxing on the sandy shores of Seven Seas Lagoon at my favorite Disney Vacation Club Resort - Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows! Debbie, before you pack your bags and head to this tropical oasis, let's discuss the layout of this stunning resort.

Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is the Disney Vacation Club property which shares a physical location with Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. At the time of writing, Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows consists of three longhouses (Tokelau, Moorea, and Pago Pago) and luxurious over-the-water Bungalows. However, currently, construction is ongoing at the resort in an effort to expand the offerings available to Guests, so it's possible that additional room types will be available in the new tower. Debbie, Tokelau is my favorite longhouse to stay in at the resort because of its central location. This three-story building is located just east of the Oasis Pool and is the closest of the Disney Vacation Club longhouses to the Great Ceremonial House and Resort Monorail. Though the Deluxe Studios in this longhouse are considered "standard view," my family has enjoyed staying in several rooms in Tokelau that offered gorgeous views of Magic Kingdom Park and Seven Seas Lagoon. (Rooms on the north side of the building and on the highest floor tend to have the best views!)

Debbie, if you would prefer to stay on the ground floor, you can enter a room request when you use Online Check-In Service or the My Disney Experience mobile app to access Direct-to-Room service. Alternatively, you could chat with a friendly Cast Member when you arrive at the resort to make a room request. Though these requests are never guaranteed, I've found that, generally, Cast Members are eager to accommodate Guests when possible! I'd also like to share that Tokelau does feature elevators, so accessing the third floor after a long day in the theme parks is as easy as an ocean breeze.

I hope this information helps you to feel prepared for your upcoming stay at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, Debbie. I'm wishing you a stay filled with sandy toes, sunny skies, and lots of pineapple-flavored treats! If you have any additional questions before or during your visit, please feel free to revisit us at planDisney anytime. We're here to help you make magical vacation memories!

    See ya real soon,
